September 3 (Wednesdays): Start of weekly International Folk Dance Class at College of Marin, Kentfield Campus, PE#2 from 2:10 to 3:30 P.M. For more information contact Carol Friedman.

September 5 (Friday): Kopachka Folk Dancers first meeting at their NEW VENUE: Strawberry REcreation Center, 118 East Strawberry Drive, Mill Valley from 7:30 to 10:30 P.M. For more information contact Nadav at (415) 497-4890 or Andy at (415) 215-1867.

September 5 (Friday): Nick and Melissa will teach West Coast Swing (it's not hard) and Tom Hill will teach Introductory Waltz also, Jason will DJ Waltzes and Polkas for the Friday Night Waltz group at First United Methodist Church, upstairs, Fellowship Hall, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto from 7:00 P.M. to Midnight. Admission is $12.00 for both classes and the dance, $8.00 for the dance only and $8.00 for students. No partner necessary. All ages welcome. September 7 (Sunday): Safra with special guest Bouchaib Abdelhdi play Jewish Middle Eastern music for dancing and a lesson by Bruce Bierman at Ashkenaz, 1317 San Pablo Avenue, at Gilman, Berkeley with a lesson at 7:00 P.M. and the dancing starts at 7:30 P.M. September 12 (Friday): Berkeley Balkan Bacchanal present an evening of music for listening and dancing by Fanfare Zambaleta and Radio Istanbul at the Starry Plough,3101 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley starting at 9:00 P.M. Admission is $10.00 to $15.00 on a sliding scale at the door.

September 21 (Sunday): Dan Unger will re-teach dances taught by Erik Nendix, Ani more Nuse, Arcanul Batrinesc, Sopsko Petrunino and Matura de la Sinicolaul at the back studio of Ashkenaz, 1317 San Pablo Avenue, at Gilman, Berkeley from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. September 28 (Sunday): Martenichki, The Bulgarian School, associated with The Bulgarian Culture Club and Antika Bulgaria celebrate the beginning of the school year with a party at their school at 10837 San Pablo Avenuw, El Cerrito from 3:30 to 6:00 P.M.
