October 2 (Wednesday): Mozaik to perform folk music from everywhere at Le Bateau Ivre, 2629 Telegraph Avenue, Berkeley from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. For more information contact Sandy Hollister.

October 4 (Friday): The Stanford Folk Dancers host Armenian Folk Dancing: A Workshop with Hasmik Harutyunyan at Bethany Lutheran Church, Menlo Park at 7:30 P.M. Admission is $15.00.

October 4 (Friday): Sharon and Jordan will teach Introductory Cross Step Waltz and Tenaya and Vincent Sheu and Haiwen Gui will DJ waltz and polka dancing at First United Methodist Church, upstairs, Fellowship Hall, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto with the classes starting at 7:15 P.M. and the dancing is from 9:00 P.M. to Midnight. Admission is $12.00 for both classes and the dance, $10.00 for the dance only and $10.00 for students. NOTE CHANGE IN PRICES AND TIME. No partner necessary. All ages welcome. October 5 (Saturday): Serbian Food Festival, at Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 1700 School Street, Moraga from Noon to 10:00 P.M. Lots of food and music.

October 6 (Sunday): Teslim CD release concert will be at Piedmont Piano Company, Oakland, CA at 4:00 P.M.

October 8 (Tuesday): Armenian Folk Dancing: A Workshop with Hasmik Harutyunyan at Monroe Hall, Santa Rosa at 7:00 P.M.

October 11 (Friday): Berkeley Balkan Bacchanal with music by Levona Ensemble and MWE at The Starry Plough, 3102 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley at 9:00 P.M. Admission is $10.00 to $15.00 on a sliding scale at the door.

October 11 (Friday): There will be no dancing at The Piedmont Veteran’s Hall tonight due to an event. Dancing will resume next week.

October 12 (Saturday): Kafana Balkan features: Inspector Gadje Balkan Brass Band joined by Macedonian-Roma clarinet maestro Ismail Lumanovski, Jill Parker & Little Egypt(Bellydance) and Dj Željko at the Rickshaw Stop, 155 Fell Street, San Francisco at 10:00 P.M. Admission is $18.00 in advance or $20.00 at the door.

October 12 (Saturday): Peninsula Folk Dancers host Ann Kleiman teaching some dances from various camps followed by a all-request dance party at St. Bede's Church, 2650 Sand Hill Road, Menlo Park with the workshop from 7:15 to 8:00 P.M. and the party from 8:00 to 10:30 P.M. October 13 (Sunday): Saul Goodman’s Klezmer Band and Jen Miriam and her puppets at JCC Berkeley, 1414 Walnut Street, Berkeley from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. Admission is $10.00 to $15.00 and kids are free.

October 14 (Monday): Berkeley Folk Dancers host a Dance workshop with Ahmet Luleci, at Frances Albrier Recreation Center, 2800 Park Street, Berkeley from 7:45 to 9:45 P.M. Admission is $10.00 for members and $12.00 for non-members.

October 19 (Saturday): Folk Dance Federation's Annual Officer's Ball at Hayward Veteran's Hall, 22737 Main Street, Hayward with a workshop with local teachers from 1:30 to 5:30 P.M., an on-site catered dinner from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. and more dancing from 7:30 to 10:30 P.M.
