October 5 (Friday): Gradina plays at the Occidental Farmers Market downtown Occidental from 4:00 P.M. until dusk. Admission is free. Come dance in the street and get the line going.

October 5 (Friday): Janam Band, with Lila Sklar, play Balkan, Turkish ans Appalachian music for listening and dancing at the Red Poppy Art House, 2698 Folsom Street, at 23rd Street, San Francisco at 8:00 P.M. Admission is $12.00 to $15.00 on a sliding scale.

October 6 (Saturday): An evening of Bosnian Sevdah and Folk Dance at the Croatian American Cultural Center, 60 Onondaga, at Alemany, San Francisco at 8:00 P.M. This event features Mirsad Jarovic.

October 6 (Saturday): Memorial for Miriam "Mimi" Toback at the Janet Pomeroy Center, 207 Skyline Boulevard, San Francisco (near the Zoo) from 12:30 to 4:00 P.M. Memories shared at 2:00 P.M. October 13 (Saturday): Peninsula Council Folk Dance Party at St. Bede's Church Hall, 2650 Sand Hill Road, Menlo Park with a free Advanced dance pre-party workshop with Lucy and David Chang teaching Rezijankas I & II from 7:15 to 8:00 P.M. and an all-request party from 8:00 to 11:00 P.M.
