November 1 (Friday): The Stanford Folk Dancers host a Balkan dance workshop taught by Kaela Fine at Bethany Lutheran Church, Menlo Park from 7:30 to 10:00 P.M. Admission is $15.00 and $8.00 for students.

November 1 (Friday): East Bay Folk dancers host a dance party with Eric Bendix at Piedmont Veteran's Hall, 401 Highland Avenue, Piedmont from 7:30 to 10:30 P.M. Admission is $5.00. For more information contact Kay James.

November 1 (Friday): Jim Kleinrath and Melody Singleton will teach Viennese Waltz and Tenaya and Talia will DJ waltz and polka dancing at First United Methodist Church, upstairs, Fellowship Hall, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto with the classes starting at 7:15 P.M. and the dancing is from 9:00 P.M. to Midnight. Admission is $12.00 for both classes and the dance, $10.00 for the dance only and $10.00 for students. NOTE CHANGE IN PRICES AND TIME. No partner necessary. All ages welcome. November 6 (Wednesday): Janam Band plays Balkan and Appalachian music for listening and dancing at Strings, 6320 San Pablo Avenue, Oakland at 8:00 P.M. Admission is $15.00 (cash only).

November 8 (Friday): Berkeley Balkan Bacchanal with music by Istanbul Connection and Helios Greek Band at The Starry Plough, 3102 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley at 9:00 P.M. Admission is $10.00 to $15.00 on a sliding scale at the door.

November 8 (Friday): Stefan will teach Introductory and advanced Cross-step Waltz and Diane Nesom will DJ waltz and polka dancing at First United Methodist Church, upstairs, Fellowship Hall, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto with the classes starting at 7:15 P.M. and the dancing is from 9:00 P.M. to Midnight. November 9 (Saturday): Peninsula Folk Dancers host Loui Tucker teaching some Israeli dances followed by a all-request dance party at St. Bede's Church, 2650 Sand Hill Road, Menlo Park with the workshop from 7:15 to 8:00 P.M. and the party, MC's by Becky Beniares and Nancy Kaye from 8:00 to 10:30 P.M. November 9 (Saturday): Scandia Workshop taught by Fred and Toby, Potluck and Party with music by Sarah Kirton and AnnieKinerva at Hillside Church, 1422 Navellier Street, El Cerrito with the workshop from 3:30 to 6:00 P.M., the potluck from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. and the dance party from 7:00 to 10:00 P.M. Admission is $5.00 for the workshop, $10.00 for the party and $14.00 for the whole package.

November 23 (Saturday): Balkan Nights USA host a Balkan Fest with Rock Galama and guests plus DJs Danne Ilich (Bulgaria) and Sick Nick (Serbia) at San Francisco Social Hall, 1920 Turk Street, San Francisco from 6:00 P.M. to 1:00 A.M. Admission is $10.00.

November 23 (Saturday): Movable Feet invite you to a Pre-Kolo Festival dance workshop with Katherine Abbott and Adony Beniares and live music provided by Zabava! International at All Saints' Episcopal Church, 555 Waverly Street, Palo Alto with the workshop from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. and the dance party from 8:00 to 11:00 P.M. Tips for the band appreciated.
