May 3 (Friday): Stanford Folk Dancers sponsors a Balkan dance party with Zabava International at Bethany Lutheran Church, 1095 Cloud Avenue, Menlo Park from 7:30 to 10:00 P.M. Please use the parking lot behind the Church off Ivy Avenue instead of parking on the street. Admission is $12.00 and students are half price and Children are Free. May 3 (Friday): East Bay Folk Dancers party at Piedmont Veteran's Hall, 401 Highland Avenue, Piedmont from 7:30 to 10:30 P.M. Admission is $5.00 and first timers are free. For more information contact Kay James.

May 11 (Saturday): Peninsula Folk Dance Council host an International Folk Dance Party with a pre-party workshop with Lon Radin teaching Tic and Krivo Ihdtimansko Horo followed by an all-request party emceed by Adony Beniares and Ken Kaye at St. Bede's Church,, 2650 Sand Hill Road, Menlo Park with the workshop from 7:15 to 8:00 P.M. and the party from 8:00 to 10:00 P.M. May 17 (Friday): Richard Powers and Clare Adrien will teach Cross-Step Waltz Basics 101 and Favorite New Cross-Step Waltz Variations and he will DJ waltz and polka dancing at First United Methodist Church, upstairs, Fellowship Hall, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto with the classes starting at 7:15 P.M. and the dancing is from 9:00 P.M. to Midnight. Admission is $12.00 for both classes and the dance, $10.00 for the dance only and $10.00 for students. NOTE CHANGE IN PRICES AND TIME. No partner necessary. All ages welcome. May 18 (Saturday): Movable Feet Club host a dance workshop with Kaela Fine teaching Rusi Kosi and Lucy Chang teaching Tropamka from Silistra followed by live music by Da! Mozhem and the Nema Problema Chorale at All Saints" Episcopal Church, 555 Waverly Street, Palo Alto with the workshop from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. and the party from 8:00 to 11:00 P.M. May 23 (Thursday): Bulgarian dance workshop with Yuliyan Yordanov at St. Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church, 18870 Allendale Avenue, Saratoga at 7:30 P.M. May 25 (Saturday): Northern Californai Dance Symposium featuring workshops by Achilleas Tsiaras and Yiouli Dimou teaching Imathia dances and Vlach dances of Kozani and Joe Graziosi teaching a Dodecanese Sampler and Orma, Almopia followed by a BBQ/dance evening event at Church of the Holy Cross, 900 Alameda de las Pugas, Belmont with the workshop from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and the dance party starts at 6:30 P.M.
