May 4 (Friday): Richard Powers will teach LContra Waltz and he will DJ waltz and polka dancing at First United Methodist Church, upstairs, Fellowship Hall, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto with the classes starting at 7:15 P.M. and the dancing is from 9:00 P.M. to Midnight. Admission is $12.00 for both classes and the dance, $10.00 for the dance only and $10.00 for students. NOTE CHANGE IN PRICES AND TIME. No partner necessary. All ages welcome. May 6 (Sunday): Herdeljezi Festival, with music by Meraklii and Edessa, at the Croatian American Cultural Center, 60 Onondaga, at Alemany, San Francisco from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. Admission is $10.00.

May 6 (Sunday): Balkan Sundays featuring Dan Cantrell and Friends at the Revolution Cafe, San Francisco from 8:45 to 11:45 P.M.

May 11 (Friday): Stanford Folk Dancers host a Balkan dance party with music by Zababa! band at ABethany Lutheran Church, 1095 Cloud Avenue, Menlo Park from 7:30 to 10:00 P.M. May 11 (Friday): Berkeley Balkan Bacchanal with music by Edessa at The Starry Plough, 3102 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley at 9:00 P.M. Admission is $10.00 to $15.00 on a sliding scale at the door.

May 18 - 20 (Friday - Sunday): Oakland Greek Festival at the Greek Orthodox Cathederal of te Ascension, 4700 Lincoln Avenue, Oakland from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M. on Friday and Saturday and from 11:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Sunday. May 25 (Friday): Changs Folk Dancer present a documentary film: "Life of Folk Dancing" at Lincoln Park Presbyterian Church, 31st Avenue, at Clement, San Francisco with request dancing from 8:30 to 8:30 P.M., film screening from 8:30 to 9:30 P.M. and dancing afterwards. Admission is free.

May 25 (Friday): No dancing at Friday Night Waltz this week.

May 25 - 27 (Friday - Sunday): "Food of the Gods - Fruit of the Vine", Marin Greek Festival at Nativity of Christ Greek Church, 1110 Highland Drive, Novato from 11:30 A.M. to 10:00 P.M.
