May 5 (Friday): The Stanford International Folk Dancers host live music by Bill Cope & Friends at the First Baptist Church, 305 N. California Avenue, Palo Alto from 8:00 to 11:00 P.M. May 5 (Friday): Saturday Night Fever! Disco dancing class with Richard Powers and Tracey teaching 1970's San Francisco style Disco Hustle,1970's Latin and New York Hustle and Richard will DJ waltz and polka dancing at First United Methodist Church, upstairs, Fellowship Hall, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto from 9:00 P.M. to Midnight. Admission is $12.00 for both classes and the dance, $8.00 for the dance only and $8.00 for students. No partner necessary. All ages welcome. May 6 (Saturday): Voice of Roma host its 20th Anniversary Herdeljezi Romani Music Festival featuring Yuri uinakov and the Grand Masters of Roma Music at the Croatian American Cultural Center, 60 Onondaga, at Alemany, San Francisco with a instrumental workshop at 4:00 P.M. and a dance workshop and party at 7:30 P.M. Admission to the instrumental workshop is $20.00 and the concert and dance party is $25.00 at the door or $20.00 in advance. A $35.00 festival pass is also available. May 12 (Friday): Berkeley Balkan Bacchanal with music by Orchestra Euphonos, Moonshine Jelly and Hadi Dede at The Starry Plough, 3102 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley at 9:00 P.M. Admission is $10.00 to $20.00 on a sliding scale at the door.

May 12 (Friday): Jordan Abronson teaches Introductory Rotary Waltz and Congress of Vienna choreographed dance and he will DJ waltz and polka dancing at First United Methodist Church, upstairs, Fellowship Hall, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto from 9:00 P.M. to Midnight. May 12 (Friday): Kopachka Folk Dancers present a dance workshop with Sue Willard teaching Narino and Kina, two Turkish dances learned from Ahmet Luleci and Sopski Lazarki, a Bulgrrian dance learned from Yves Moreau at Straberry Recreation Center, 118 East Strewberry Drive, Mill Valley with the workshop from 7:30 to 8:30 P.M. and dancin g from 8:30 to 10:30 P.M. Saturday Festival: The Croatian American Cultural Center, 60 Onondaga, at Alemany, San Francisco from 2:30 to 11:30 P.M. Sunday Bulgarian Folk Festival on Wheels, starting and ending at 10837 San Pablo Avenue, El Cerrito from 7:30 to 5:30 P.M. followed by Dinner, concert and dance at the same address from 7:30 to 11:30 P.M.
