March 2 (Wednesday): Balkan Folk Dance to recorded music 70's style at at Ashkenaz, 1317 San Pablo Avenue, at Gilman, Berkeley with a lesson at 7:00 P.M. and the music starts at 8:00 P.M. Admission is $7.00 at the Door.

March 3 (Thursday): BYU International Folk Dancers to perform at the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts, 255 Almaden Blvd., San Jose at 7:30 P.M. Admission is $11:00, $16.00, and $26.00 and are available at the SJtix Box Office at the San Jose McEnry Convention Center and online.

March 4 (Friday): Bill Cope and Friends play Balkan music for dancing for the Stanford International Folk Dancers at the First Baptist Church, 305 North California Avenue, near Bryant, Palo Alto from 8:00 to 11:00 P.M. March 4 (Friday): Zoyres performs at the Subterranean Arthouse, 2179 Bancroft Way, Berkeley.

March 4 (Friday): Special Bulgarian Concert and Mega Dance Party, featuring Ivaylo Giurov with the Bulgarian Evergreens, Vasil and Maria Vebelekovi and Vechna Mladost singers at the Croatian American Cultural Center, 60 Onondaga, at Alemany, San Francisco at 7:00 P.M. March 4 (Friday): BYU Folk Dance Ensemble with guest dancers form Presidio Dance Theatre of San Francisco perform at the Oakland Interstake Center Auditorium, Oakland. Admission tickets are $12.00, $18.00 and $24.00 and can be purchased online. For more information contact Tim Bean.

March 12 (Saturday): A Purim Celebration: an Israeli Dance Party at the Palo Alto JCC, 3921 Fabian Way, Gymnasium second floor, Palo Alto from 8:30 P.M. till after Midnight. This is a "Costume Contest" and the theme is dress as your favorite dance. Food will be provided, but feel free to bring something to share. There will be a raffle, games with prizes and more. March 25 (Friday): Agapi Mou to play Mediterranean music for dancing for the Cabrillo Folk Dancers at Cabrillo College, Gym Room 1117, Soquel Drive, Aptos from 8:00 to 11:00 P.M. Admission is $10.00. Bring snacks to share (no kitchen facilities available). Parking is free.

March 26 (Saturday): Israeli Folk Dance Party at Cafe Shalom, St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Bowcock Hall, 1399 - 43rd Avenue, at Judah, San Francisco from 7:30 to 11:30 P.M. Admission is $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for students. For more information contact Rosanna Horton.

March 26 (Saturday): The Balkan Dancers of Marin and the Advanced Balkan Dancers present the annual Balkan Plus Folk Dance Party at the Marin Masonic Hall, 1010 Lootens, between Fourth and Fifth Streets, San Rafael from 7:30 to 11:00+ P.M. March 26 (Saturday): Beyond the Pale plays Eurofolk fusiion mixing Klezmer, Balkan and Romanian styles at Subterranean Art House, 2179 Bancroft Way, Berkeley at 8:00 P.M. Admission is $15.00. This event is co-sponsored by the Jewish Music Festival and KlezCalifornia.

March 26 (Saturday): Peninsula Council hosts its monthly folk dance party at St. Bede's Church, 2650 Sand Hill Road, Menlo Park from 7:00 to 10:30 P.M. Denise Heenan will teach Mairi's Wedding followed by an all request party. For more information call Al Lisis at (408) 252-8106.
