June 1 - 3 (Friday - Saturday): San Jose Greek Festival at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 1260 Davis Street, San Jose. For more information call (408) 246-2770.

June 1 (Friday): Stanford Folk Dancers host a Balkan dance party with music by Staro Vino band at All Saints Episcopal church, 555 Waverly Street, Palo Alto from 7:30 to 10:00 P.M. Admission is $12.00 general and $6.00 for students. Snacks and drinks plus tips for the musicians are welcome. For more information call Owen at (650) 966-1775.

June 1 (Friday): Dana DeSimone will teach Introductory Zydeco and Marengue and Diane Nesom will DJ waltz and polka dancing at First United Methodist Church, upstairs, Fellowship Hall, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto with the classes starting at 7:15 P.M. and the dancing is from 9:00 P.M. to Midnight. Admission is $12.00 for both classes and the dance, $10.00 for the dance only and $10.00 for students. NOTE CHANGE IN PRICES AND TIME. No partner necessary. All ages welcome. June 1 Friday: Kopachka Folk Dancers host "Blast" folk dance party at Strawberry Recreation Center, 118 Strawberry Drive. Mill Valley from 7:30 to 10:30 P.M> Admission is $7.00. All-request folk dancing and voting for officers. For more information contact Susie Shoaf.

June 2 (Saturday): Moveable Feet Dance Club hosts a Balkan dance party with music by Balkan Chili Trio band and Lon Radin and Marina Troost At All Saints Episcopal Church, 555 Waverly Street, Palo Alto with the workshop from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M. and dancing to live music from 8:00 to 11:00 P.M. June 2 (Saturday): Kafana Balkan present music by Instanbul Connection and Incognito Express, Dancing by Jill Parker and friends and more music by DJ Zeljko at The Rickshaw Stop, 155 Fell Street, San Francisco at 9:00 P.M. Admission is $15.00 in advance and $18.00 at the door.

June 3 (Sunday): Balkan Sundays featuring Balkan Brass at the Revolution Cafe, San Francisco from 8:45 to 11:45 P.M.

June 3 (Sunday): join the Balkan Chili Trio for a potluck, dance party and house concert at the Cope-a-cabana in San Jose with welcome time at 2:30 P.M., request dancing, eat, drink and potluck from 3:00 to 4:00 P.M., concert and non-dance music rom 4:00 to 5:00 P.M. and request dancing, more eating and drinking from 5:00 to 6:00. Donations appreciated to cover expenses of bringing the band to California. RSVP for reservations and more information.

June 4 (Monday): GreekFeet host a Cretan dance workshop by Nikos Vertoudos at Joe Goode Annex Project Artaud, 401 Alabama Street, at 17th Street. San Francisco from 7:30 to 9:30 P.M. Admission is $15.00. Bring some snacks to share. For more information contact Maryann Karonis.

June 9 (Saturday): Palomanians Annual Ice Cream Social and International Folk Dance Party St. Bede's Episcopal Church, 2650 Sand Hill Road, Menlo Park, from 7:30 to 10:30 P.M. June 17 (Sunday): Da! Mozhem and the Nema Problema Chorale perform music for listening and dancing for World Music Day at the Cheesecake Factory, 375 University Avenue, Berkeley at 3:00 P.M. Admission is free.

June 22 (Friday): Sacred Circle Dancing at Hillside Community Center, 1422 Navellier Street, El Cerrito with a potluck at 6:30 P.M. and dancing from 7:30 to 9:30 P.M. This will be their last meeting at Hillside Community Church. The new venue for fourth Fridays will be The Albany Senior Center. Admission is $5.00 to $10.00 on a sliding scale. June 23 (Saturday): Zsa-Zsa Duo (Barbara Deutsch and Jutka Mandoki: part of Danubius) play traditional and Roma music from Hungary, Romania, Transylvania, Serbia, and Bosnia for listening and dancing at Bernal Star Restaurant's "The Cottage", behind 410 Cortland Avenue, entrance at right under "Cinema" sign, San Francisco from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M.
