June 3 (Friday):Gary Breitbard, Fabian Goulay and Jena Rauti teache a French dance workshop with live music provided by Alan keith and Les Campagnards for the Stanford Folk Dancers, First Baptist Church, 305 North California Avenue, at Bryant, Palo Alto at 8:00 P.M. Admision is $8.00 for adults, $4.00 for students and children are free. For more information contact Ginny Snyder or Jena, or call Gary at (650) 387-4014.

June 3 (Friday): Ziyia to play music for dancing and Caroline Simmonds to give a Greek dance lesson at Ashkenaz, 1317 San Pablo Avenue, at Gilman, Berkeley with the lesson at 8:00 P.M. and the music starts at 9:00 P.M. Admission is $13.00 general and $10.00 for students. Kids under 12 are free. For more information contact Mary Farris or call (510) 525-5054.

June 3 - 5 (Friday - Sunday): San Jose Greek Festival at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Davis Street, San Jose. For more information call (408) 246-2770.

June 4 (Saturday): The Helladelics play music for listening and dencing for the Berkeley World Music Festival, at 2556 Telegraph Avenue, between Blake and Parker Streets, Berkeley from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Admission is free.

June 8 (Wednesday): Nick Garris and the HeleNicks play traditional Greek music at Le Bateau Ivre, 2629 Telegraph Avenue, Berkeley with dinner being served from 5:00 P.M. and the music will be from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. There is no cover charge.

June 10 (Friday):Lew Smith teaches a Greek and Macedonian dance workshop for the Stanford Folk Dancers,305 North California Avenue, Palo Alto at 8:00 P.M. Admision is $15.00. For more information contact Ginny Snyder.

June 17 (Friday):The Inheritance Balkan Band play for the Stanford Folk Dancers,305 North California Avenue, Palo Alto at 8:00 P.M. Admision is $10.00. For more information contact Ginny Snyder or call her at (408) 733-5529.

June 17 (Friday): Ash (from Brooklyn) and others to play Balkan music at the Subterranean Arthouse, 2179 Bancroft, Berkeley at 8:30 P.M. Admission is from $15.00 to $30.00.

June 18 (Saturday): The Helladelics play music for dancing at Live Oak Grange, 1900 - 17th Avenue, Santa Cruz from 8:00 to 11:00 P.M. Admision is $10.00.

June 18 (Saturday): June folk dance party presented by Marcel and Kathy Vinokur at Burgess Recreation Center, 700 Alma Street, Menlo Park from 8:00 P.M. to Midnight. Admission is $9.00 for adults and $3.00 for teens. There will be a potluck at the home of Marcel and Kathy Vinokur at 6.00 P.M. Please call Marcel or Kathy at (650) 327-0759 for directions and to co-ordinate dishes.

June 19 (Sunday): World Music Day with Da! Mozhem performing (along with 50 bands) at 158 University Avenue, Palo Alto from 4:30 to 6:00 P.M. For more information contact Ginny Snyder or call her at (408) 733-5529.

June 19 (Sunday): Three-Band Balkan Music Matinee with Agapi Mou from 3:00 to 3:45 P.M., The Inheritance from 4:00 to 4:45 P.M. and the Cruz from 5:00 to 6:00 P.M. at The Stary Plough, 3101 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley.

June 22 (Wednesday): True Live Trio vocal ensemble to perform at Le Bateau Ivre, 2629 Telegraph Avenue, Berkeley from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. There is no cover charge.

June 26 (Sunday): International Dance Festival for New Dancers at Sunnyvale Community Center Ballroom, 550 E. Remington Avenue, Sunnyvale from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M. Admission is free. For more information contact Loui Tucker.
