July 9 (Tuesday): Michael's on Main hosts the UK Global Balkan and Eastern Music group: The Turbans to play music for listening and dancing at Michale's on Main, 2591 Main Street Soquel at 7:30 P.M. Admission is $10.00 in advance and $12.00 at the door. You must be 21+.
July 12 (Friday): Bastille Day celebration with teaching of "Le Jazz" (Foxtrot) and "La Java" (a working class Mazurka) and lots of French Waltzs and Polkas and Jason Anderson will DJ waltz and polka dancing at First United Methodist Church, upstairs, Fellowship Hall, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto with the classes starting at 7:15 P.M. and the dancing is from 9:00 P.M. to Midnight. Admission is $12.00 for both classes and the dance, $10.00 for the dance only and $10.00 for students. NOTE CHANGE IN PRICES AND TIME. No partner necessary. All ages welcome. July 12 (Friday): Stanford Folk Dancers sponsors an International Folk Dance workshop by Katherine Abbott at Bethany Lutheran Church, 1095 Cloud Avenue, Menlo Park from 7:30 to 10:00 P.M. Please use the parking lot behind the Church off Ivy Avenue instead of parking on the street. Admission is $12.00 and students are half Price and Children are Free. July 20 (Saturday): The Movable Feet Club host an afternoon workshop of Contra and Square dances, a potluck dinner and a evening party of international folk dances with Tony jParkes and live music by Susan Worland during the Contra workshop at All Saint's Episcopal Church, 555 Waverly Street, Palo Alto with the Contra workshop from 3:15 to 4:30 P.M., a break from 4:30 to 4:45 P.M., a Square dancw workshop from 4:45 to 5:30 P.M., the potluck dinner from 5:30 to 6:30 P.M. and the international folk dance party, MC'd by Hollis and Lon Radin,from 6:30 to 9:00 P.M.
