July 3 (Sunday): Masters of Macedonian chalgija Husref Said, Raim Baki with Sonia Tamar Seeman, Adam Good, Paul Brown and Sali Shopov, along with Edessa, play music for listening and Dancing at Ashkenaz, 1317 San Pablo Avenue, at Gilman, Berkeley with a dance lesson by Joe Kaloyanides Graziosi at 7:00 P.M., followed by a short lecture by Sonia Tamar Seeman abut Chalgija music, and the music starts at 7:45 P.M. July 8 (Friday): Berkeley Balkan Bacchanal with music by Dolunay and Rumen "Sali" Shopov and Meraklii at The Starry Plough, 3102 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley at 9:00 P.M. Admission is $10.00 to $15.00 on a sliding scale at the door.

July 8 (Friday):Richard Powers will teach Frankie's Shim Sham and Romany Polka also, Richard Powers will DJ Waltzes and Polkas Tom Hill will teach beginning Waltz at First United Methodist Church, upstairs, Fellowship Hall, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto from 7:00 P.M. to Midnight. Admission is $12.00 for both classes and the dance, $8.00 for the dance only and $8.00 for students. No partner necessary. All ages welcome. July 8 (Friday): The Stanford International Folk Dancers host Kaela Fine teaching internatinal dances at the First Baptist Church, 305 N. California Avenue, Palo Alto from 8:00 to 11:00 P.M. July 9 (Saturday): Fanfare Zambaleta play music for listening and dancing at the Ivy Room, 860 San Pablo Avenue, Albany at 9:00 P.M. Admission is $10.00 at the door. You must be 21+.

July 9 (Saturday): Peninsula Folk Dance Council host a pre-party workshop by Sue Williard teaching Pomansko Sirto from Greece and Djugurista from Macedonia folowed by an all-request dance party by Jim Emdy as well as a brief annual meeting at St Bede's Episcopal Church, 2650 Sand Hill Road, Menlo Park with the workshop from 7:15 to 8:00 P.M. and the party goes from 8:00 to 10:45 P.M.
