Come listen and dance to our favorite klezmer-inspired ensemble as they make the rafters ring with Yiddish, Ladino, and English-language music, featuring songs of struggle and smoky cabarets. Mama Loshn founder Gale Kissin will welcome other musical guests, including Reb Irwin Keller, Laurie Leah Lippin, and Bruce Bierman. Surprise guests may be added. July 26 (Friday): An Art Reception "Visions of Bulgarian Folk Songs", featuring paintings by Biliana Stremska at Sweek Adwline BAkery, 3350 Adeline Street, at 63rd, Berkeley from 6:30 to 7:30 P.M. This event will include the artist explaining the inspiration for her work, Bulgarian singind and dancing, and delicious refreshments. Admission is free.
