January 3 - March 26 (Thursdays): Beginning of six-week session of Israeli Folk dance classes, taught by Carol Friedman, at the Osher Jewish Community Center, pilates studio, second floor, Marin from 1:30 to 4:00 P.M. You need not be a member or Jewish to attend. Cost is $40.00 ($30.00 for members) for the six-week session or $10.00 drop-in ($8.00 memebers). Call (415) 444-8000 to register. January 4 (Friday): Jodan and Sharon teach introductory Rotary Waltz and Congress of Vienna Waltz, also they will DJ dancing for Friday Night Waltz at First United Methodist Church, upstairs, Fellowship Hall, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto with the classes starting at 7:15 P.M. and the dancing is from 9:00 P.M. to Midnight. Admission is $12.00 for both classes and the dance, $10.00 for the dance only and $10.00 for students. No partner necessary. All ages welcome. January 4 (Friday): Stanford Folk Dancers sponsors a French Country Dance with Gary Breibart and Jena Rauti with all music live by the Fete Musette Ensemble at Bethany Lutheran Church, 1095 Cloud Avenue, Menlo Park. Please use the parking lot behind the Churh off Ivy Avenue instead of parking on the street. Admission is $12.00 and students are halof Price and Children are Free. January 6 (Sunday): Balkan Sundays with Ava Safiya, Gregory Jenkins, Han Beyli, Dan Cantrell and Sean Tergis playing Balkan, Greek, Turkish, Albanian, Romani music for listening and dancing at the Revolution Cafe, 3248 - 22nd Street, San Francisco at 8:30 P.M.

January 7 - May 6 (Mondays): Start of a International folk dance series, taught by Carol Friedman at Hermann Sons Hall, 860 Western Avenue, Petaluma from &;00 to 9:15 P.M. Cost is $85.00 for the 17 week session or $7.00 drop-in For more information click or call Carol Friedman at (415) 663-9512.

January 8 (Tuesday): Beginning of a six-week series of partnered social dance classes taught by Richard Powers and Rocky Aikens aat First United Methodist Church, upstairs, Fellowship Hall, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto from 7:00 to 10:00 P.M. January 11 (Friday): Kopachka Folk Dancers host Da! Mozhem to play Balkan music for a Folk Dance Party at Strawberry Recreation Center, 118 East Strawberry Drive, Mill Valley from 8:00 to 10:30 P.M. January 12 (Saturday): Mozaik and storyteller Dana Sherry perform acappella folk songs and folk tales from the Balkans, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Russia and other areas of Europe and Anericana at the Red Poppy Art House, 2698 Folsom Street, San Francisco at 7:30 P.M. January 19 (Saturday): Peninsula Folk Dance Council host the 2019 Heritage Festival at the Garden House, 400 University Avenue, Palo Alto with a Croatian dance workshop by Zeljko Jergan from 1:30 to 3:30 P.M., Croatian Singing workshop with Zeljko from 6:30 to 7:00 P.M. and an all-request dance party emceed by denise Heenan from 7:00 to 10:00 P.M.
