January 1 (Friday): Tom Hill will teach Waltz, cha cha, one step and polka and Tom Hill will teach Introductory Waltz also, Tom will DJ Waltzes and Polkas for the Friday Night Waltz group at First United Methodist Church, upstairs, Fellowship Hall, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto from 7:00 P.M. to Midnight. Admission is $12.00 for both classes and the dance, $8.00 for the dance only and $8.00 for students. No partner necessary. All ages welcome. January 4 (Mondays): Start of International Folk Dance class at Herman Sons Hall, 860 Western Avenue, Petaluma from 7:00 to 9:15 P.M. Cost for the whole session (until May) is $65.00 and dropins are $7.00. For more information contact Carol Friedman.

January 8 (Friday): The Stanford International Folk Dancers host a dance party with Fet Musette playing French dances at the First Baptist Church, 305 N. January 8 (Friday): Berkeley Balkan Bacchanal with music by Fanfare Zambaleta at The Starry Plough, 3102 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley at 9:00 P.M. Admission is $10.00 to $15.00 on a sliding scale at the door.

Friday and an institute with Cesar Garfiaz teaching Salsa Ruedal from 1:30 to 4:30 P.M. and live Balkan music with Staro Vino, request dancing with Denise Heenan and an exhibition by Gigi Jensen from 7:00 P.M. to 10:30 P.M on Saturday. January 29 (Friday): Sviraci to play music for dancing in honor of Floyd Davis' 89th birthday party hosted by Turlock Village Dancers with dinner at 6:00 and dancing at 7:30 P.M.
