February 1 (Saturday): Nativity of Christ Greek Orthodox Church hosts GOYA Family Glendi Dance with Musicians from Crete, Georgios Frantzeskakis (Violin) & Georgios Stratakis (Laouto) at Nativity of Christ Greek Orthodox Church, 1110 Highland Drive, Novato at 6:00 P.M. February 1 (Saturday): St. Nicholas Preview Glendi Dinner Dance, with live music by Dromeno, at St Nicholas Church, 1260 Davis Street, San Jose at 5:00 P.M. Admission is $35.00 and includes dinner, dance performance and dancing.

February 2 (Sunday): Love Without Borders Benefit Concert, Art Show, Dance for Refugees Benefiting refugees camped in Greece with Music by Gradina (Balkan Choral and Instrumental Group from the SF North Bay featuring village music from Bulgaria and Macedonia) at Arlene Francis Center, 99 West Sixth Street, Santa Rosa from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. Admission is $10.00.

February 2 (Sunday): Shasta POWER play Romanian, Moldovan, Romaní music for listening and dancing at The Revolution Cafe, 3248 22nd St, San Francisco from 8:30 to 11:30 P.M.

February 3 (Monday): GreekFeet host a Glendi Dance with Musicians from Crete, Georgios Frantzeskakis (Violin) & Georgios Stratakis (Laouto) at at Joe Good Annex, Project Artaud, 401 Alabama Street, at 17th Street, San Francisco from 7:30 to 9:30 P.M. February 7 (Friday): Berkeley Balkan Bacchanal with music by Giorgos Frantzeskakis & Stratakis/Duygu & Friends at The Starry Plough, 3102 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley at 9:00 P.M. Admission is $10.00 to $15.00 on a sliding scale at the door.

January 7 (Friday): Movie theme night with Richard Powers teaching Doin' the Raccoon and a Survey of Waltzes and he will DJ waltz and polka dancing at First United Methodist Church, upstairs, Fellowship Hall, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto with the classes starting at 7:15 P.M. and the dancing is from 9:00 P.M. to Midnight. Admission is $20.00 for both classes and the dance, $20.00 for the dance only and $10.00 for students. Evening attire appreciated. NOTE CHANGE IN PRICES AND TIME. No partner necessary. February 7 (Friday): Stanford Folk Dancers host a mostly Balkan dance party featuring the band Mosaic at Bethany Lutheran Church, 1095 Cloud Avenue, Menlo Park from 7:30 to 10:00 P.M. Admission is $12.00 ($6.00 for students). For more information click here.

February 8 (Saturday): Berkeley Folk Dancers host the Festival of the Oaks at Albany Veterans Memorial Building, 1325 Portland Avenue, Albany with an institute by Tineke & Maurits Van Geel, Master International Folk Dance Teachers from 9:30 A.M. to noon, and International Folk Dancing from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M. There will be lunch available at Noon. There also will be a Folk Dance Federation membership meeting and an exhibition dance performance from Noon to 1:00 P.M. There will also be costume sales.
