February 1 (Wednesday): First day of a six-week folk dance series at Marin Community Education, Kentfield campus, PE #22 from 2:10 to 3:30 P.M. Cost for the series is $54.00 with $15.00 annual Emeritus College dues. For more information contact Carol Friedman.

February 2 (Thursday): Ripni Kalinke host a Bulgarian dance workshop by Nina Kardajikova at St Francis Church, 1205 Pine Street, San Jose from 7:30 to 10:00 P.M. Admission is $15.00 for adults, $10.00 for students and children under 16 are free. Call for more information: (408) 398-8309.

February 3 (Friday): Richard Powers will teach Introductory Movie Waltzing and Richard Powers will DJ Movie music Waltzes and Polkas at First United Methodist Church, upstairs, Fellowship Hall, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto from 7:00 P.M. to Midnight. Admission is $12.00 for both classes and the dance, $8.00 for the dance only and $8.00 for students. No partner necessary. All ages welcome. February 11 (Saturday): The Peninsula Folk Dance Council host a folk dance party with a pre-party dance workshop with Katherine Abbott teachin Prinskata and maybe Yuta at St. Bede's Church, 2650 Sand Hill Road, Menlo Park with the workshop from 7:15 to 8:00 P.M. and the all-request party from 8:00 to 10:45 P.M. February 12 (Sunday): Festival of the Oaks with a workshop with Sanna Longden at Live Oak Park, 1301 Shattucke Avenue, at Berryman, Berkeley with the workshop from 9:30 A.M. until Noon and a dance party from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M. February 19 (Sunday): San Francisco Tabburitza Festival featuring the bands: Sarena Tamburitza Orchestra, The Slavonian Traveling Band and Sidro Tamburitza Orchestra at the Croatian American Cultural Center, 60 Onondaga, at Alemany, San Francisco from Noon to 8:00 P.M. Admission is $15.00 or $10.00 in advance and children are free.

February 24 - 26 (Friday - Sunday): Sacred Circle Dancing Brazilian dance workshop at Hillside Community Church, 1422 Vavellier Street, near Potrero, El Cerrito. For more information contact Maureen Atkins.
