December 1 (Friday): Stanford Folk Dancers host Bill Cope and friends to play live Balkan music at All Saints Episcopal Church, 555 Waverley Street, Palo Alto from 8:00 to 11:00 P.M. Admission is $12.00 general and $6.00 for students. Snacks and drinks plus tips for the musicians are welcome. For more information call Owen at (650) 966-1775.

December 2 (Saturday): Razzmatazz Christmas Folk Dance Party with Balkan music played by local musicians and also dancing to recorded favorites at Monroe Hall, 1400 West College Avenue, Santa Rosa from 7:00 to 10:00 P.M. Admission is $5.00 and kids are free. Bring a snack to share. For more information contact Marilyn Smith.

December 2 (Saturday): The Palomanians host an all-request dance party, MC'd by Denise Heenan at St. Bede's Church Hall, 2650 Sand Hill Road, Menlo Park from 7:30 to 10:30 P.M. Admission is $9.00. December 7 (Thursday): Bulgarian Cultural Center: Ripni Kalinke hosts a Bulgarian Dance workshop by Elena Dimitrova at Saint Francis Church, 1205 Pine Avenue, Willow Glen, San Jose from 7:30 to 10:00 P.M. Admission is $30.00 for the month, $15.00 for this event $10.00 for full-time students and children under 16 are free. For more information click or call (408) 398-8309.

December 8 (Friday): Berkeley Balkan Bacchanal with music by Michelle Alnay and the Mystics, Staro Vino and Disciples of Markos at The Starry Plough, 3102 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley at 9:00 P.M. Admission is $10.00 to $20.00 on a sliding scale at the door.

December 9 (Saturday): Moveable Feet host a Happy Holidays Potluck Reception and Party with Sue Willard teaching and Staro Vino playing at Frist Baptist Church, 305 North California Avenue, Palo Alto from 5:00 to 9:30 P.M. Admission is $10.00 or 10 cans of unexpired cans of unexpired goods to go to the Second Harvest Food Bank. Permission was granted by Palo Alto to have this event at this location. December 9 (Saturday): Traditional Christmas celebration, sponsored by Father Hristo and the board o Bulgarian Church "CB Cyril and Methodius at Danville Grange 85, 743 Diablo Road, Danville at 7:00 P.M. Bulgarian food, drink and music will be provided. For more information click here.

December 10 (Sunday): Tenth annual "Drone Magic" festival of the bagpipes at the Croatian American Cultural Center, 60 Onondaga, at Alemany, San Francisco with the doors opening at 3:00 P.M., a film at 4:00 P.M. and a concert at 5:00 P.M. December 11 (Monday): Annual Petaluma Holiday Folk Dance Party at Hermann sons Hall, 860 Western avenue, Petaluma from 7:00 to 9:30 P.M. December 15 (Friday): Friday Night Waltz Formal Winter Waltz Ball with music provided by Bangers and Mash and an introductory Waltz and Congress of Vienna Waltz class by Tom Hill at First United Methodist Church, upstairs, Fellowship Hall, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto from 9:00 P.M. to Midnight. Admission is $20.00 for and $10.00 for students. No partner necessary. Elegant evening attire much admired, but not required. All ages welcome. December 31 (Sunday): Moveable Feet Dance Club host a New Year's Eve Potluck and All-Request Party, MC'd by Loui Tucker and Lucy Chang, at All Saints Episcopal Church, 555 Waverly Street, Palo Alto from 6:30 P.M. until 12:30 A.M.
