December 1 (Thursday): Bulgarian dance Workshop with Elena Dimitrova at St. Francis Church, 1205 Pine Street, Wilow Glen, San Jose from 7:00 to 10:00 P.M. For more information visit ripnikalinke.org.

December 2 (Friday): The Stanford International Folk Dancers host a Balkan Dance Party with music by Bill Cope and Friends at the First Baptist Church, 305 N. December 3 (Saturday): Pie and Ice Cream Folk Dance Party hosted by the Palomanians and MC'ed by Denise Heenan at St. Bede's Church Hall, 2650 Sand Hill Drive, Menlo Park from 7:30 to 10:30 P.M. Admission is $10.00. No need to bring snacks. For more information contact Denise Heenan.

December 9 (Friday): Berkeley Balkan Bacchanal with music by BFD, Orkestar Radacina, and Ghost Note Ensemble at The Starry Plough, 3102 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley at 9:00 P.M. Admission is $10.00 to $20.00 on a sliding scale at the door.

December 9 (Friday): Kopachka Folk Dancers host a special dance workshop by Carol Friedman teaching Tocoletul (Romania) and Hmsin Horon (Turkey) at Strawberry Recreation Center, 118 East Strawberry Drive, Mill Valley with teaching from 7:30 to 8:30 P.M. and a dance program from 8:00 to 10:30 P.M.. December 10 (Saturday): Movable Feet host a Turkish and Azerbaijani dance workshop by Ercument Kilic at First Baptist Church, 305 North California Street, Palo Alto from 6:30 to 10:30 P.M. For more information contact Lucy Chang.

December 10 (Saturday): Razzmatazz Christmas Folk Dance Party at Monroe Hall, 1400 West College Avenue, Santa Rosa with dancing to recorded music from 7:30 to 9:00 P.M. followed by dancing to live music by Jim Avera, Barbin Babin, Ken Genetti and Jana Mariposa Muhar from 9:00 to 10:30 P.M. December 12 (Monday): Petaluma Holiday Folk Dance Party at Herman Sons Hall, 860 Western Avenue, Petaluma from 7:15 to 9:30 P.M. December 16 (Friday): Richard Powers, partnered by Tracey will teach Polka Swing, Tango Fascination, Romany Polka and Dream Waltz Mixer and Richard Powers will DJ Waltzes and Polkas at First United Methodist Church, upstairs, Fellowship Hall, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto from 7:00 P.M. to Midnight. Admission is $12.00 for both classes and the dance, $8.00 for the dance only and $8.00 for students. No partner necessary. All ages welcome. December 18 (Sunday): Alex Hand Miller's group will play Bulgarian wedding and village music, Romanian hora/swing and blending of funk and jazz with folk music at Red Poppy Arthouse in San Francisco.

December 18 (Sunday): Bulgarian School "Kahn Asparuh" Christmas party with music and dancing at 1030 Astoria Drive, Sunnyvale at 10:00 A.M.

December 19 (Monday): GreekFeet's Year End Party with live Greek music by Agapi Mou at Joe Goode Annex, Project Artaud, 401 Alabama Street, at 17th Street, San Francisco from 7:00 to 9:30 P.M. Admission is $10.00. Bring a dish to share.

December 21 (Wednesday): David Nadel commemoration with Balkan and other dancing, presentations etc. at Ashkenaz, 1317 San Pablo Avenue, at Gilman, Berkeley at 6:00 P.M.

December 23 (Friday): John Schmidt will teach Introductory waltz and Diane Neeson will DJ Waltzes and Polkas at First United Methodist Church, upstairs, Fellowship Hall, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto from 7:00 P.M. to Midnight.
