December 1 (Saturday): Agapi Mou plays Greek music for listening and dancing at aki Kabob House, 1101 San Pablo Avenue, at Dartmouth, Albany from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. The performance is completely acoustic and there is no cover charge. For more information and reservations call (510) 527-5452.

December 1 (Saturday): Aya Safiya's first show, playing Mediterranean, Balkan, Middle Eastern etc. music, at Artillery Apparel Gallery, 2751 Mission Street, near 24th Street, San Francisco from 8:45 to 9:20 P.M. This performance is part of the Missin Art and Performance Project. There will be lots of events in the area.

December 2 (Sunday): Annual Ashkenaz International Holiday Bazaar fundraiser. There will be merchandse and food for sale as well as music. This event will be at Ashkenaz, 1317 San Pablo Avenue, at Gilman, Berkeley from 11:00 A. M to 5:00 P.M. Admission is $2.00 and up at the Door.

December 2 (Sunday): True Life Trio perform at Down Home Music to promote their CD, 10341 San Pablo Avenue, El Cerrito at 2:00 P.M. For more information call (510) 525-2129.

December 7 (Friday): Glendi Findraiser for Chrysi Aeti Dance Group at Ascension Greek Orthodox Church, 4700 Lincoln Avenue, Oakland at 7:00 P.M. Live music by Edessa and Cretan dance music by Nic Parisis and Mena Ghadi. DJ Tasso will also be there. Admission is $20.00 before December 2 and $25.00 at the door. Children 12 and under are $10.00. December 7 (Friday): Mirage Marrou to teach East Coast Swing and Line Dances to Christmas music and themes and Tom Hill to teach introductory Waltz also Nick will dj waltzes and polkas for the Friday Night Waltz group at First United Methodist Church, upstairs, Fellowship Hall, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto from 7:00 P.M. to Midnight. Admission is $12.00 for both classes and the dance, $8.00 for the dance only and $8.00 for students. No partner necessary. All ages welcome. December 7 (Friday): Helene Eriksen hosts a pot-luck dinner presenting a Cultural Evening covering the culture and dance of Agfganistan at a private home in Fremont from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Admission is $15.00 for the general public and $10.00 for Dana Training Project members. December 10 (Monday): Petaluma Snap-y Dancers annual Holiday Folk Dance Party with live music provided by Santa Rosa Vecherinka at Herman Sons Hall, 860 Western Avenue, Petaluma from 7:00 to 9:30 P.M. December 14 (Friday): Ninth Annual Slavic Choral Christmas Concert at Church of the Nativity, 240 Fell Street, San Francisco at 7:30 P.M. Admission is $15,00 in advance and $18.00 at the door General and $10.00 in advance and $12.00 at the door for students.

December 14 (Friday): Richard Powers and Angela Amarillas teach Swing Rueda, a Lindy Hop mixer, Tom Hill teaches introductory Waltz and then Real Seventies Disco DJ'ed by Richard at the Friday Night Waltz group at First United Methodist Church, upstairs, Fellowship Hall, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto from 7:00 P.M. to Midnight. December 15 (Saturday): Pomegranates and Figs: a Feast of Jewish Music at Freight and Salvage, 2020 Addison, Berkeley at 8:00 P.M. The bands are Veretski Pass, The Oakland Folkharmonic and Inspector Gadje. Admission is $22.50 in advance and $24.50 at the door; half price for youth under 18 and seniors get a $2.00 discount. December 25 (Tuesday): Peninsula Folk Dance Council annual Christmas Day Dance Party at St. Bede's Church, 2650 Sand Hill Road, Menlo Park from 7:30 to 10:30 P.M. December 28 (Friday): Cabrillo Folk Dancers meet at their temporary location: Live Oak Grange, Aptos. Admission is $5.00 plus any extra to pay the rent.

December 28 (Friday): No classes tonight for Friday Night Waltz, but Lucas will be DJ for a post end-of-the-world dance from 9:00 P.M. to Midnight at First Methodist Church, 625 Hamilton Ave., Palo Alto, Upstairs Fellowship Hall. Admission is $8.00.

December 29 (Saturday): Antika Bulgaria, with Tanya Kostova, host a Christmas-New Year's gala concert party at 1422 Navellier Street, El Cerrito with the doors opening at 7:00 P.M. and the party starting at 7:30 P.M. Featured performers include Vasil and Mrioa Bebelokovi and Ivajlo Giurov from Las Vegas. Admission is $25.00 and $20.00 for students and low income. December 31 (Monday): New Year's Eve Pary with Cajun and Scandinavian music by Joe Finn, Leslie Bonnett and True Life Trio followed by Balkan music by Brass Menazeri and Edessa at Ashkenaz, 1317 San Pablo Avenue, at Gilman, Berkeley from 8:00 P.M. to 1:00 A.M. Admission is $25.00 and includes champagne toast.

December 31 (Monday): Friday Night Waltz presents their annual New Year's Eve Waltz Ball at International House at UC Berkeley, 2299 Piedmont Avenue, Berkeley with an introductory Waltz Class by Tom Hill from 7:00 to 8:30 P.M. and dancing to live music by Bangers and Mash from 9:00 P.M. until 12:30 P.M. No partner necessary. Formal, elegant evening wear is appreciated, but not necessary. Admission is $20.00 in advance general and $15.00 for students under 25 with ID and is $25.00 general at the door and $20.00 for students under 25 with ID. Tickets can be purchased via PayPal.
