August 2 (Friday): An Ice Cream Social Party and Peggy Pollard and Peter Lofgren will teach Romantic Slow Waltz and Navajo Snake Dance and they will DJ waltz and polka dancing at First United Methodist Church, upstairs, Fellowship Hall, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto with the classes starting at 7:15 P.M. and the dancing is from 9:00 P.M. to Midnight. Admission is $12.00 for both classes and the dance, $10.00 for the dance only and $10.00 for students. NOTE CHANGE IN PRICES AND TIME. No partner necessary. All ages welcome. August 7 (Wednesday): Post Stockton Summer Folk Dance Party hosted by the Carriage House Folk Dancers at the Carriage House, Holbrook Palmer Park, 150 Watkins Avenue, Atherton from 7:45 to 10:00 P.M. Admission is $9.00.

August 8 (Thursday): A local Serbian dance teacher, Paul Bunjevic, will be bringing some Serbian dances to The Mandala Folk Dance Center, at St. Paul�s Presbyterian Church, Bowcock Hall, 1399 � 43rd Avenue, at Judah, San Francisco. August 11 (Saturday): Caf� Shalom meets for Israeli dancing at St. Paul�s Presbyterian Church, 1399 � 43rd Avenue, at Judah, San Francisco from 7:30 to 11:30 P.M.Admission is $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for students.For more information contact rofromsf@gmail.com.

August 11 (Sunday): Santa Rosa Folk Dance Club August Picnic and Dance starts with a Potluck at at the Armstrong Redwoods State Park picnic area followed by pm at Guerneville School, 14630 Armstrong Woods Road, Guerneville with the potluck at Noon and the dancing starts at 1:45 P.M. August 11 (Sunday): Peninsula Folk Dance Council dance party at St. Bede's Episcopal Church, 2650 Sand Hill Road, Menlo Park with teaching a couple of Stockton Folk Dance camp from 3:00 P.M. and dancing from 3:30pm to 6:00 P.M. August 17 (Saturday): Scandia Dance Workshop, Party and Potluck at Hillside Community Church, 1422 Navellier St., El Cerrito with the workshop, taught by Fred and Toby, from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M., a potluck dinner from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. and the dance party, with live music, from 7:00 to 10:30 P.M.
