August 1 (Saturday): All request dance party mc's by Alan Rothchild at St. Bede's Church, 2650 Sand Hill Road, Menlo Park from 7:30 to 10:45 P.M. Admission is $7.00.

August 7 (Friday): Mirage Marrou will teach Rotary Waltz and Club Two-Step and Tom Hill will teach Introductory Waltz also, Diane Nesom will DJ Waltzes and Polkas for the Friday Night Waltz group at First United Methodist Church, upstairs, Fellowship Hall, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto from 7:00 P.M. to Midnight. Admission is $12.00 for both classes and the dance, $8.00 for the dance only and $8.00 for students. No partner necessary. All ages welcome. August 8 (Saturday): Café Shalom meets for Israeli dancing at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, 1399 – 43rd Avenue, at Judah, San Francisco from 7:30 to 11:30 P.M.  Admission is $8.00 for adults and $5.00 for students.  For more information contact rofromsf@gmail.com.

August 9 (Sunday): Folk Dancing at the Little Festival of the Redwoods with a potluck picnic lunch at Redwoods State Park Picnic Groudnds at Noon followed by folk dancing at Guernville Elementary School, 14630 Armstrong Woods Road, Guernville from 1:45 to 4:15 P.M. August 14 (Friday): The Stanford International Folk Dancers host a dance workshop with John Burke teaching Balkan dances at the First Baptist Church, 305 N. August 14 (Friday): East Bay Folk Dancers (formerly Albany Y Folk Dancers) features David Mukres teaching Tuche Tuche at the Piedmont Veteran's Hall, 401 Highland Avenue, Piedmont from 7:30 to 10:30 P.M. Admission is $7.00.

August 14 (Friday): Mezosegi and Kalotaszegi Hungarian dance party teaching Kalotaszegi Invirtita at the Hayward Area Senior Center, Hayward at 8:00 P.M. Admission is $5.00 and you can bring food to share.
