August 3 (Friday): Fanfare Zambaleta to play Balkan brass music for dancing for the Stanford International Folk Dancers at the First Baptist Church, Events Hall, 305 North California Street, Palo Alto from 8:00 to 11:00 P.M. August 9 (Thursday): Daniela Ivanova and Angel Nazlamov to teach a Bulgarian Folk Dance Workshop for the Saratoga Folk Dancers, St Michael Archangel Serbian Orthodox Church, 18870 Allendale Avenue, Saratoga from 7:30 to 10:00 P.M. August 12 (Sunday): Osman Oksnzoglu and Amos Libby play Turkish Jazz Fasil at Subterranean Arthouse, 2179 Bancroft Way, Berkeley at 8:00 P.M. Admission is from $10.00 to $20.00 on a sliding scale.

August 13 (Monday): Greek dance party with Agapi Mou at the Presidio Performing Arts Center, Arguello at Moraga, Building 386, Presidio of San Francisco from 7:30 to 10:00 P.M. Admission is $10.00. For more information contact Mary Ann Karonis.

August 19 (Sunday): Dan Unger will re-teach both Vlashkos, Ani More Nuse, Gorarch and maybe Koso Moja at Ashkenaz, 1317 San Pablo Avenue, at Gilman, Berkeley from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. August 24 (Friday): Gypsy Caravan to play Contra Dance and Balkan music for dancing at Bowcock Hall, St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, 43rd Avenue, at Judah, San Francisco from 8:00 to 11:00 P. M. with a free newcomer contra dance lesson at 7:30 P.M. Admission is $8.00 for members and $10.00 for non-members and $5.00 for students. August 24 (Friday): The Albany Y Balkan Folk Dancers host a special party to honor Miriam Berg's 60 years of folk dancing and teaching at the Albany YMCA, 921 Kains Street, Albany with Maion teaching from 8:00 to 9:00 P.M. and the dancing continuing until 11:00 P.M.
