April 7 (Friday): The Stanford International Folk Dancers host a Klezmer Dance event with music b Majorly Minor and dances led by Donna Frankel at the First Baptist Church, 305 N. April 7 (Friday): Mirabai Commer teachs Argentine Tango and Diane Neesom will DJ Waltzes and Polkas at First United Methodist Church, upstairs, Fellowship Hall, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto from 9:00 P.M. to Midnight. Admission is $12.00 for both classes and the dance, $8.00 for the dance only and $8.00 for students. No partner necessary. All ages welcome. April 9 (Sunday): Orchestra Euphonos play at Amnesia, 853 Valencia Street, San Francisco from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Admission is Free.

April 12 (Wednesday): The Balkan Dance Cabal present a special dance party on the main floor at Ashkenaz, 1317 San Pablo Avenue, at Gilman, Berkeley from 8:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. Admission is $5.00. For more information click or call Richard at (510) 524-3611.

April 14 - 16 (Friday - Sunday): Seventh Annual Wowmad Festival - world music and dance at the Humanist Hall, 390 - 27 Th Street, Oakland from Noon to 9:00 P.M. each day. Admission is $20.00 to $100.00 per day.

April 14 (Friday): ContraWaltz with live music by the Hillbillies from Mars, a dance performance by American Jubilee and Richard Powers and Nick Enge teach the One Step, Polka and Rotary Waltz at First United Methodist Church, upstairs, Fellowship Hall, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto from 9:00 P.M. to Midnight. April 14 (Friday): Berkeley Balkan Bacchanal with music by Radio Istanbul, Balkan Ensemble Merkalii and Rumen Sali Shopov and Hadi Dede at The Starry Plough, 3102 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley at 9:00 P.M. Admission is $10.00 to $20.00 on a sliding scale at the door.

April 15 (Saturday): Moveable Feet present a Scottish and English dance workshop with Bruce Hamilton and lin Pettergill at First Baptist Church, 305 North California Avenue, Palo Alto from 2:30 to 8:30 P.M. Snacks are appreciated. For more information contact Lucy Chang.

April 19 (Wednesday): Sayat Nvaq Ensemble play Armenian music at Le Bateau Ivre, 2629 Telegraph Avenue, Berkeley from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. There is no cover charge, but tipping is encouraged.

April 21 (Friday): Vadalma Concert with Hungarian Food at String Palaze, 5680 Casino Avenue San Pablo at 8:30 P.M. Admission is from $15.00 to $20.00. Feel free to bring potluck food to share. For more information click here.

April 21 (Friday): Vercernica to play live Balkan music for Changs International Folk Dancers at Lincoln Park Presbyterian Church, 31st Avenue, at Clement, San Francisco from 7:30 to 10:30 P.M. Children and friends are welcome. Bring a snack to share.

April 22 (Saturday): Annual Petaluma Spring folk dance party at Hermann Sons Hall, 850 Western Avenue, Petaluma from 7:30 to 10:30 P.M. Dance to live music by Staro Vino and to recorded favorites. April 22 (Saturday): Mozaik a cappella group sings at the Claremont Branch Library, 2940 Benvenue Avenue, Berkeley at 3:00 P.M. Admission is free.

April 22 (Saturday): Da! Mozhem play Balkan music for dancing for the Cabrillo Folk Dancers, at Live Oak Grange, 1900 - 17th Street, Santa Cruz from 8:00 to 11:00 P.M.

April 22 & 23 (Saturday & Sunday): The Red Thistle Dancers host a Bulgarian folk dance concert by Antika Bulgaria, led by Tanya Kostova, accompanied by Balkanton 360 at Louis B. Mayer Theatre, Santa Clara University, 952 Franklin Avenue, Santa Clara at 3:00 and 8:00 P.M on Saturday and at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday. Admission is $20.00 general, $10.00 Students and Youth, $15.00 Seniors and $17.00 (each) for groups of ten or more.

April 22 (Saturday): Annual Petaluma Spring Folk Dance Party with dancing to new and old recorded favorites, followed by music by Staro Vino at Hermann Sons Hall, 860 Western Avenue, Petaluma from 7:30 to 10:30 P.M. April 23 (Sunday): Festival of the Mandolins at Croatian American Cultural Center, 60 Onondaga, at Alemany, San Francisco at 11:00 A.M.
