April 4 (Friday): The Stanford International Folk Dancers host a special dance party featuring Bulgarian music by Vassil and Maria Bebelekov and their students: Linda Green, Randall Kirschman, Mark Jenkins and Arlene Imagawa along with Bill Cope and Dan Auvil at the First Baptist Church, 305 N. California Avenue, Palo Alto from 8:00 to 11:00 P.M. Admission is $15.00. This is a benefit for the family of Georgi Petrov. For more information contact Owen at (650) 966-1775.

April 5 (Saturday): Gradina performs and Ken and Gaelen Genetti, Barbara Babin, Jim Avers Vassil Bebelekov play music for listening and dancing at Arlene Francis Center, 99 West 6th Street, at Wilson, Santa Rosafrom 5:30 to 9:00 P.M. Admission is $15.00 to $25.00 on a sliding scale. This is a beefefit for the family of Georgi Petrov. Food etc. for sale. For more information contact Rebecca Dwan.

April 5 (Saturday): Plovdiv Party Bus play for the Annual Spring Petaluma Folk Dance Party at Herman Sons Hall, 860 Western Avenue, Petaluma form 8:00 to 11:00 P.M. Admission is $10.00. For more information contact Carol Friedman at (415) 663-9512.

April 6 (Sunday): Janam Band plays Balkan music for listening and dancing at Occidental center for the Arts, 3850 Doris Murphy Court, Occidental at 8:00 P.M. Admission is $20.00.

April 6 (Sunday): Drone Magic, Festival of the Bagpipes, featuring bagpipe music from around the world at the Croatian American Cultural Center, 60 Onondaga, at Alemany, San Francisco at 2:00 P.M. Bulgarian food will be available for purchase. Admission is $15.00 and children are free.

April 8 (Tuesday): Start of a six-week Couple dancing class by Richard Powers with Mirage Marrou teaching Club Two-step with Waltz Swing and Cumbia, Cross-step Waltz and Salsa and Cha-Cha at First United Methodist Church, upstairs, Fellowship Hall, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto from 7:00 P.M. to Midnight. April 11 (Friday): Da! Mozhem will play for the Kopachka Folk Dancers at Scout Hall, 177 East Blythdale Avenue, Mill Valley from 8:00 to 11:00 P.M. Admission is $10.00 and includes light refreshments. For more information contact Susie Shoaf or Nadav Nur.

April 11 (Friday): Berkeley Balkan Bacchanal present a party with music provided by Mano Cherga, Veretski Pass and Disciples of Markos at the Starry Plough, 3101 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley with the doors opening at 8:00 P.M. and the music starts at 9:00 P.M. Admission is $8.00 to $12.00 on a sliding scale.

April 19 (Saturday): The Moveable Feet Club presents a Folk Dance party at First United Methodist Church, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto from 7:00 to 11:00 P.M. Eileen Kopec will teach Kritiko Syrto and Michael Garibaldi will teach Pentozalis. Admission is $8.00. Bring a snack to share. Drinks will be provided. The theme is Greek. April 19 (Saturday): WoWmad's fourth annual world music gathering and festival with Balkan, Mexican, Middle-Eastern, American, Afgan and other music for listening and dancing at Humanist Hall,390 - 27th Street, Oakland from 2:00 to 11:00 P.M. April 25 (Friday): Richard Powers teaches French Tango and Tom Hill to teach introductory Waltz also Richard will dj waltzes and polkas for the Friday Night Waltz group at First United Methodist Church, upstairs, Fellowship Hall, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto from 7:00 P.M. to Midnight. Admission is $12.00 for both classes and the dance, $8.00 for the dance only and $8.00 for students. No partner necessary. All ages welcome. April 27 (Sunday): Festival of the Mandolins, featuring the music of many different groups and a jam session (bring your own instruemnt) at The Croatian American Cultural Center, 60 Onondaga, at Alemany, San Francisco starting at 11:00 A.M. April 27 )Sunday): Disciples of Markos play Greek Rebetiko music at The Revolution Cafe, 3248 - 22nd Street, between Valencia and Mission Streets, San Francisco from 8:30 to 11:30 P.M. Admission is free; tipping is permitted.

April 27(Sunday): Newcomer's Dance Festival and Blossom Festival at City College of San Francisco, Wellness Center, Performance Room 301, 50 Phelan Avenue, at Ocean Avenue, San Francisco with a special Children's Session from 11:30 A.M. to 12:45 P.M., Beginning dance teaching from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. followed by general folk dancing from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M.
