April 6 (Friday): International Roma Day in San Francisco with music by Brass Menazeri and the Stevens Family "Gypsy Boys" and tradional dances taught and led by Sani Rifati at Croatian American Cultural Center, 60 Onondaga, at Alemany, San Francisco at 7:30 P.M. April 11 (Wednesday): Agapi Mou (at 8:00 P.M.) and Fanfare Zambaleta Balkan Brass Band (at 9:30 P.M.) to play music for listening and dancing at Disco Volante Restaurant/Bar, 347 - 14th Street, corner of Webster, Oakland. April 13 (Friday): Sue Williard to teach a dance workshop for the Stanford International Folk Dancers at the First Baptist Church, Events Hall, 305 North California Street, Palo Alto from 8:00 to 11:00 P.M. April 14 (Saturday): Annual Petaluma International Folk Dance Party, hosted by the Snap-y Dancers, with live Balkan music by Dene, Greg, Lisa and Mark at Herman Sons Hall, 860 Western Avenue, Petaluma from 8:00 to 11:00 P.M. April 14 (Saturday): Janam Band to play Balkan music for listening and dancing at Wisteria Ways, 383 - 61st Street, Berkeley, near College and Claremont at 8:00 P.M. April 14 (Saturday): Peninsula Council Folk Dance Party featuring teaching the Silistrenski Opas from 7:15 to 8:00 P.M. After that, there will be an all-request party MC'ed by Lucy Chang from 8:00 to 11:00 P.M. This event will be at St. Bede's Church Hall, 2650 Sand Hill Road, Menlo Park. April 15 (Sunday): Advanced Balkan Folk Dance class at Ashkenaz, back studio, 1317 San Pablo Avenue, at Gilman, Berkeley at 1:00 P.M. This month only, they will start, and end, one hour earlier. Martin Frost will be reviewing Kazanlasko Mazko Horo . Admission is $5.00 at the Door.

April 19 (Thursday: Berkeley Balkan Bacchanal with Moh Alileche Ensemble, Veretski Pass and Balkalicious Fire Drive providing the music at the Starry Plough, 3101 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley at 9:00 P.M. Admission is $6.00 to $12.00 on a sliding scale.

April 20 (Friday): Da! Mozhem to play Balkan music for dancing, hosted by Kopachka Folk Dancers, at Scout Hall, 177 East Blythdale, Mill Valley fro 8:00 to 11:00 P.M. Admission is $10.00 and includes light refreshments. For more information contact susieshoaf@aol.com or nadavnur@gmail.com.
